I believe in the non-diet approach, meaning giving ourselves unconditional permission to enjoy food as opposed to cutting things out and teaching restrictive practices. To me, there are no "good" foods or "bad" foods. Food is not only meant to fuel us, it is also meant to be enjoyed and bring people together. My aim is to show you how different tastes and flavors can be fun while also providing a sense of connection to others.
Working together, we will challenge the food rules, neutralize all foods and de-bunk food myths. We will practice separating our self-worth from our body image while decreasing the anxiety, guilt and shame around food. I also hope to help you rediscover enjoyable movement as an act of self care.
I practice weight neutral nutrition counseling, meaning I believe we can pursue health without trying to change our weight. Through the Health at Every Size® approach, I aim to help everyone feel more at peace with their bodies. My goal is to help clients see that race, gender, socioeconomic status and sexual orientation influence weight stigma and discrimination.
I understand everyone's journey with food and their body image will be different, therefore I always meet each client where they are at.
Nothing brings me greater joy than seeing my clients build their self-confidence through food freedom. Learning to find balance will ultimately fuel your mind, body and soul. I would love the opportunity to show you just how fulfilling this way of life is through emotional self-care!
